Best Places to Eat in Luray

Looking for the best places to eat in Luray? Well, you're in luck! We're a family of foodies who appreciate everything from fine dining to solid hole in the wall cuisine. Here's a list of our favorite restaurants to help you enjoy your trip to the Shenandoah Valley.

Go for the best coffee in town, stay for breakfast, and then take a pie or muffins home with you. With indoor and outdoor seating, funky country decor, and friendly staff this is a Luray mainstay.

This tiny shop is the perfect spot for gourmet made-to-order hot or cold sandwiches and soup. Their roast beef and bleu cheese sandwich is a family favorite. Eat at a table in the cafe, or outside in the courtyard.

This relatively new place fills a much needed niche. There's finally a place in Luray for wine tastings and cheese boards! You can also pop in to stock up your picnic basket or wine collection.

This Italian restaurant is located in the strip mall past Walmart. While it may not be fancy, the pizza and pasta are fantastic. And, if you're from the city, the low prices will blow you away! We always order a chef salad, large pizza, and the Italian Combo. The combo is a massive plate of lasagna and fettuccini alfredo. The cheese steak sandwiches are also a great option.

The Mimslyn Inn is a lovely historic property that opened in 1931. Centered in the middle of town, their restaurant Circa 31 hosts a fabulous Sunday brunch. Perfect for a girls weekend event, but still family friendly. This is one place you may need a reservation.

This roadside stand across from Walmart has the best BBQ around! Pick it up to go, or sit at one of their outdoor tables. We like to get a cup of each of their delicious sauces to slather our pork and chicken. *They're open Friday through Sunday, and tend to sell out by early evening, so go for lunch.
